Week 9
#20 You Tube
Fun to play with. I added a video to my blog right here...(galveston)
#21 I added a crochet RSS feed to my bloglines account. I tried to view some podcasts on library related issues, but the problem was that I don't have Quick Time on my pc. They all required Quick Time. I'm confused about this because I thought podcasts did not require software downloads. maybe i'm doing something wrong. But I did so a library pod search and found some good ones.
#22 I checked out Project Gutenberg. I don't have an ipod so I can't download anywhere but my pc here. I will try to download once i get my mp3 player. :)

Week 8
#18 Google Docs.
I used Google Docs. Very much like regular word. Nice to know you can do this online. Very easy.
#19 Web 2.0 Awards
I explored Craig's List, which is a giant classified ad site. You can pretty much find anything you want anywhere. It was fun to see what is for sale.

Week 7
#16 wikis
I think that wikis are useful in a very general way. For quick definitions --also as a starting off point: sometimes they offer legitimate links at the bottom of the entry. I wouldn't use them as a real source though. Too unreliable.
#17 Sandbox
I can't seem to figure out how to add my blog to the favorites site. will do later.

Week 6
# 13 --Delicious
Kind of confusing. I will have to spend more time with this one. I will post more when I have a chance.
#14 Technocrati
I like that you can search for other peoples blogs by topic and keyword. I know that Pete Townshend has a blog and I searched for it but I can't tell if the one I found was really his or somebody's else pretending to be him. I think that may be a drawback to searching for blogs. Not sure if all of the information is accurate.
#15 Library 2.0
I understand that libraries need to change and are changing. But there is so much information out there that we have to be careful as to what is considered a reliable resource and what is not.

Flickr Week 3

#5--Corrie ten Boom's pix is a public photo. I don't think I need to copyright the photographer. I found this photo on Flickr but I also remember this photo from the back cover of one of her books.
#6 I used the trading card generator. It may work for an idea I have of creating Mother Goose trading cards. #7 I like email. I also like looking at satellite maps and zooming in really close over houses. I like being able to get the red eye out of photograpahs!
