so long farewell

#23--done

finished. I am very glad that I completed this program. I never knew what these words meant before: "RSS" "feed" "blog" "wiki" "generators" "podcast." Now I do. I feel more confident and comfortable with all of this. My favorites were youtube and the generators. They were the most fun... The generators actually will come in handy with some of my craft/storytime/program ideas. good bye for now.

Week 9

#20 You Tube
Fun to play with. I added a video to my blog right here...(galveston)

#21 I added a crochet RSS feed to my bloglines account. I tried to view some podcasts on library related issues, but the problem was that I don't have Quick Time on my pc. They all required Quick Time. I'm confused about this because I thought podcasts did not require software downloads. maybe i'm doing something wrong. But I did so a library pod search and found some good ones.

#22 I checked out Project Gutenberg. I don't have an ipod so I can't download anywhere but my pc here. I will try to download once i get my mp3 player. :)

Week 8

#18 Google Docs.
I used Google Docs. Very much like regular word. Nice to know you can do this online. Very easy.

#19 Web 2.0 Awards
I explored Craig's List, which is a giant classified ad site. You can pretty much find anything you want anywhere. It was fun to see what is for sale.

Week 7

#16 wikis
I think that wikis are useful in a very general way. For quick definitions --also as a starting off point: sometimes they offer legitimate links at the bottom of the entry. I wouldn't use them as a real source though. Too unreliable.
#17 Sandbox
I can't seem to figure out how to add my blog to the favorites site. will do later.
